Our library collection currently
includes over 14,000 books and periodicals... and is still growing.
Community resources are provided throughout the library, including MTA Bus
Schedules, Tax Forms, and Maryland Legal Assistance Network pamphlets on
topics ranging from health benefits to tenant's rights.

LIBRARY COMPUTERS
We presently have three computers for
use on the main level and a public access legal self-help computer
terminal sponsored by the
Maryland Legal Assistance Network.
 Down Below -
COMPUTER LAB
The Technology Center has 10 new Dell
computers, high speed Internet access and scanning/printing services. The
10 computers are equipped with Riverdeep educational software, with topics
appropriate for elementary, middle and high school students. The
Technology Center is open to the public13 hours each week.

- LEARNING GARDEN
The Learning Garden contains flowering
trees and shrubs, native species, a shade garden, children's
flower beds, and a variety of other flowers and herbs. All species are
labeled with their proper name and their common name, with flower books
available with more information.

awarded by the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
Certification in the Standards for Excellence program is
bestowed only to the most well-managed and responsibly governed
nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated compliance with 55
specific Standards for Excellence based on honesty,
integrity, fairness, respect, trust, responsibility, and
accountability. The Village Learning Place has met, complied with,
and integrated the Standards for Excellence into all its
activities to successfully complete this voluntary certification
