Signature Events
Each year, the Village Learning Place hosts multiple signature events to support the innovative and powerful work done within the organization. All proceeds made at these events go directly to supporting the operations of the VLP and the multiple community and educational programming provided throughout the year.
The Spaghetti Disco is a treasured wacky neighborhood tradition. This community party brings together delicious food, entertainment for all ages, and friends, new and old. Not too many parties can say they combine spaghetti with literacy or the Bee-Gees with the ABC's!
Attendees feast on a delicious spaghetti dinner and locally made desserts from 5:30 to 8:00pm while they catch up with neighbors, enjoy beer & wine at the cash bar, and engage their kids in crafts and games. Then, everyone does ""The Hustle" over to the dance floor until 11:00pm.
The 23rd Spaghetti Disco was held at R-House on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Read Between the Wines is the Village Learning Place's extraordinary annual fundraising event. Held each April in our beautifully renovated historic library and garden, this gala event brings together great food, live music, silent and live auctions, and a fantastic atmosphere of community.
Read Between the Wines is a fabulous springtime gala that serves as a strong source of support for the VLP library and youth programs. This annual event is a can’t miss party with silent and live auctions, decadent food and wine menu, and live music.
Each year, over 200 people from within and outside of the community gather to support the blossoming educational and cultural programs at the VLP. It is a valued community tradition that provides an exciting opportunity for our neighbors and friends to reconnect with the organization and other stakeholders.
This year's gala took place Saturday, April 22nd from 7 pm - 10 pm.
