Great Waverly Pie Fest

It’s that time of year again! The annual pie fest is back! This year’s pie fest is being hosted by the 32nd Street Farmers Market, and will be known as The Great Waverly Pie Fest. The pie fest will have two parts this year: the online pie auction and the in-person pie contest.
The Great Waverly Pie Contest
The pie contest, which will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 9am-12pm at the 32nd Street Farmers Market (400 E 32nd St) , will be an in-person contest, featuring 3 celebrity judges. There will be prizes awarded for the best pies in each category. The categories will be: Sweet, Savory, and Specialty. Bakers for the live contest will have until Wednesday, October 18th to sign up! Online Pie Auction
The sign up for bakers for the online pie auction are open now until October 12th at 8pm. The auction will go live at 10am, on Thursday, October 19th, and remain open through Sunday, October 22nd, at 8pm! Virtually, folks will bid donations to the VLP and 29th Street Community Center, to win the pie of their choice! We encourage you to support the 32nd Street Farmers Market, and purchase all your pie ingredients from the market. The farmers market is open every Saturday from 7am-12pm. All proceeds will go to the support of the Village Learning Place and the 29th Street Community Center.
