To facilitate the library’s outreach efforts to our local schools, we are pleased to offer expanded access to library resources and services through this program. Educators employed at Pre-K-12 schools as well as staff employed at childcare centers, camps, out-of-school programs, and homeschooling parents, can sign up for a VLP library card with significantly more privileges than those available on personal cards.

Your new card includes a variety of unique privileges. Educator cardholders may:

• Borrow up to 100 items
• Request a librarian’s assistance to select themed books or a specific collection
• Set your own due date – request a loan period of up to 60 days

What about my students?

We encourage you to contact us to arrange a class visit. You can come to us or we will come to you as part of our Books2Go outreach program. Our staff can register students for library cards, discuss the range of services available with a library card, demonstrate our web site and online catalog and recommend some great books for students of all ages and reading levels.
